Thanks be to God at work in 2025

As we come to the end of 2025, I want to pause and thank you for being part of the BCMB Bible Camps family. Whether you’ve prayed for us, volunteered, given financially, or simply shared encouragement along the way — your support is woven into every good story coming out of our camps this year.
These past few months have been full of reminders of why we do what we do. I recently had the privilege of attending both the Camp Bob Fall Fundraiser and the Pines Fall Gala. Both events were well attended, full of energy, and honestly, a lot of fun. Pines raised just over $50,000 and Camp Bob raised close to $15,000 — a huge encouragement for both ministries.

One of my favourite moments came from something Stephen Jackson, our Executive Director at Camp Bob, shared in his update. We often measure camp success by how many kids make first-time decisions to follow Jesus—a beautiful and important thing to celebrate. But Stephen reminded us that if we focus only on those numbers, we miss the bigger story.
He put it this way (summarizing):
The impressive statistics of children deciding to follow Jesus at camp still don’t capture the full impact. Every single camper—100%—experienced the love of Jesus. Every camper was told they matter, that they are loved, that they have worth, and they were treated as if it were true. Decisions are important, but the seeds of the Gospel planted in every heart are equally powerful.
I love that perspective. It reflects the long view of discipleship, and it captures the heart of our camps so well.

Another highlight this fall was our Recess gathering at Stillwood, where nine of our eleven Canadian MB camps came together for two days. There were 24 of us — directors and program staff from Quebec to Vancouver Island — laughing, learning, sharing ideas, and simply enjoying the gift of community. We played a few ridiculous games, encouraged one another, and came away energized for what’s ahead. Those moments of connection matter deeply in a ministry that can often feel isolating.
As we wrap up the year, we’re encouraged — and we’re also working hard to finish the year strong financially across our camp system. If you feel led to give a year-end gift, it will go a long way in helping us support our camps heading into 2026. But more than anything, we simply want to thank you for standing with us. God has been faithful, and your partnership has been a key part of that story.
Thank you again for your prayers, generosity, and belief in what camp ministry can do in the life of a child, a teenager, or a family. We look forward to seeing what God has in store as we step into a new year together.
Have a wonderful Christmas season, and blessings on your new year!
Bob “Ranger” Kroeker
Executive Director
