Our Guiding Principles.

  • We are passionate

We are passionate about welcoming, ministering to, and including all who attend our camps – especially those with different beliefs. We strive to welcome others with the love and grace of Jesus Christ, committed to serving every person equally and joyfully.

  • We operate with conviction

All aspects of our camps operate in line with our confession of faith.

  • We will protect

We use our policies as our compass to protect all campers, guests, staff, and volunteers, as well as the ministry and integrity of our camps.

  • We lead by example

It is our practice to lead by example the way of Christ. We are committed to providing an environment free from discrimination and harassment as protected by provincial legislation.

  • We pursue fairness

We seek to eliminate inequities in our policy and program development, budgeting, planning and decision-making.

  • We acknowledge the land

We would like to acknowledge that the land on which our camps gather has been marked by the footsteps of the following for centuries.

    • Stillwood – Coast Salish, S’ólh Téméxw, & Nuxwsa’7aq Nations
    • Gardom – Secwepemcúl’ecw, & Syilx Nations
    • Camp Bob – Homalco, Tla’amin/Sliammon, We Wai Kai, We Wai Kum, K’ómoks & Coast Salish Nations
    • Pines – Sinixt, Syilx & Ktunaxa Nations
    • Likely – Secwepemcúl’ecw Nation
  • Our expectation

Our expectation is that guests and visitors to our programs and facilities are not engaging in behaviour that prohibits us for achieving our mission, which is protected and mandated by the Charities Directorate of Canada.

  • We staff with mission alignment

As a Christ-centred camp, we require all positions listed as a “senior or ministry staff” be filled by a staff or volunteer who is in general agreement with our Statement of Faith. Out of love and respect for all our staff, we intentionally place them in positions where they are confident and in agreement with what we expect them to teach.
