TALES, TRAILS and MORE

TRAVELS & TALES
Willow Park Church in Kelowna was the venue for the annual BCMB Convention & AGM, taking place the last weekend in April. It’s a highlight for me as I attend each year—an opportunity to present a camp update to all the pastors and delegates, as well as a chance to rub shoulders with many people from around the province.
This year, we presented a video emphasizing our Endowment Fund and the opportunity to leave a legacy. (The BCMB Camps endowment mug may have made a quiet appearance along the way … it’s become a bit of a conversation starter.)
Here’s a link to the short video, and also a link to our annual report. I hope you enjoy both!

Bev and I also stayed an extra few days in Kelowna to take in the Pastor & Spouse Retreat, meeting downtown at Metro Church. It was a casual, uplifting time organized by the BCMB Conference of Churches, filled with worship, inspiring testimonies of the work God is doing around BC, and lots of fun.
In May, you’ll find me on Vancouver Island catching up with some of our Camp Bob staff, board members, and island pastors.
Along with members of our board, we’ll be travelling to Pines Bible Camp in July, and then in August I’ll be heading further north to Camp Likely to observe and offer encouragement during their summer camp season.
TRAILS, TRIKES & TREKS
I will once again be #ridin4camps from June 1–21.
This continues to be a meaningful opportunity to bring awareness, invite others into our ministry, and raise financial support for our camps. Our goal this year is $25,000, helping more kids experience the best week of their summer at one of our five BCMB Camps.
Earlier this year, one participant saw an unexpected and generous response within their circle — a great reminder of how people can connect with what God is doing through our camps.
Each of us has a sphere of influence, and we often don’t know how people will respond — or even if they will respond — unless they are given the opportunity.
If this is something that resonates with you, I would invite you to consider being part of #ridin4camps — whether by participating, helping share the story, supporting financially, or simply encouraging others.
There are many ways to be involved. Riding, hiking, running, Harley Davidsoning, paddleboarding,(last year we even had axe throwing!) — whatever fits your context and style.
More than anything, #ridin4camps is about inviting people into the story of what God is doing through our camps — and it’s always amazing and encouraging to see how that unfolds.
