July Update – Lives Are Being Changed!

We’re speeding toward the halfway point of the summer—and what an incredible few weeks it’s been! Campers at Pines, Bob, Stillwood, and Gardom Lake Bible Camps are not only having an unforgettable time—they’re encountering Jesus in powerful ways. Camp Likely begins its week of camp on July 20th, and we’re excited for what God will do there too!
Here’s a glimpse into the life-changing moments your generosity is making possible:
🏕️ Campers Unplugged & Engaged
One important aspect of the summer has been connection without distraction. Campers are unplugging from screens and soaking in the beauty of creation. Instead of scrolling, they’re ziplining, sharing meals, laughing around campfires, and building deep friendships.
As one camper put it:
“I went a whole day without thinking about my phone.”
Another said:
“I felt like I finally belonged somewhere.”

🙌 Worship, Teaching & Spiritual Breakthroughs
Every week, we’ve seen God move in incredible ways:
- Stillwood’s chapel and worship times have been full of joy and reflection. Campers are learning how God sees them—and responding with openness and wonder.
- Gardom Lake has seen over 70 campers make first-time commitments to Jesus, and more than 80 recommit their lives to Him. Guest speakers like David McVety and Jason Mayer have delivered messages that speak straight to young hearts.
Camper quotes:
“Jesus cares about the small stuff.”
“Even though I’m not a Christian, I like to listen. I learned that He’s always watching.”
“I learned that God made me and has a plan for my life.”
“That He loves me all the time.”
🎯 Activities & Adventure
From Laser Tag in the forest and ropes courses to lake days, cabin games, and “Wild n’ Wacky” meal themes, campers are loving every moment.
Some camper favorites include:
- Zipline
- Archery
- Tuck time
- Swimming and paddleboarding
- Theme meals
- Canoeing
- Getting a Bible from my cabin leader
- Hanging out with my cabin leader
One camper wrote: “Laser tag was the best, but the food was a close second!”
💬 Cabin Time & Friendships
Meaningful conversations are happening in cabins, where campers feel safe, seen, and loved. Whether they’re tackling the ropes course or simply roasting marshmallows, these young people are forming lifelong bonds.
From a parent:
“My child came home saying they felt safe and loved, and they want to come back next year.”
And from a camper:
“I don’t need to ‘grow older’ to start walking with God. I can follow Him now.”

🙏
